Embossed Plastic Cards
Embossing is the process of creating a three-dimensional image or design and is the oldest method for plastic card personalization that is still in use.
The feel of an embossed plastic card through the envelope is most likely to generate interest from the consumer and cause them to open the direct mail piece. This is reported to provide significant lift to these packages more than justifying the additional cost.
Encoded Plastic Cards
In addition to the common credit card, magnetic strip card use has rapidly spread to student IDs, grocery store discount cards, vending machine debit cards, library cards, etc.
DVRG® will help you "decode" the plastic encoding process. We can work with your point of sale or program provider to ensure the correct information is applied to the magnetic strip of the plastic card.
Thermal or DOD imaging Plastic Cards
Thermal imaging allows for variable printing on plastic using an array of single colors or four-color process. DVRG can print cardholder names, dates, and specific data or photos to any card, on demand.
DOD card personalization technology allows for extremely high-speed personalization with a high-quality resolution. Plastic cards and carrier letters can be personalized in a single pass. DOD imaging is also beneficial in producing personalized key tags or card combo pieces at very high speeds.
Card issuers can benefit from co-marketing with other complementary programs and therefore increase the benefit to the cardholders.
